Shipping & Delivery

Metal Muscle ships Australia-wide from our warehouses and uses a range of freight carriers depending on the product, destination, size, weight and delivery requirements.

Because many of our products are large, heavy, oversized or unusually shaped, shipping cannot always be accurately calculated automatically at checkout.

Shipping Quotes & Freight Costs

For many Metal Muscle products, shipping must be calculated manually based on the specific order and delivery requirements.

We strongly recommend contacting us before placing your order to obtain an approximate shipping cost, particularly for large, heavy, oversized, custom or unusual items.

Freight costs are calculated based on factors including:

  • Product dimensions and weight

  • Number of packages or pallets

  • Delivery postcode and address

  • Residential or commercial delivery

  • Tail-lift requirements

  • Over-length or oversized freight

  • Remote or regional delivery

  • Access and unloading requirements

  • Carrier availability and serviceability

  • Any applicable carrier or destination surcharges

How Shipping Is Charged

Where shipping is not specifically included in the product price or quoted at checkout, the product order may be placed first and the freight will be invoiced separately.

Before the freight invoice is issued, Metal Muscle will advise the customer of the applicable shipping cost based on the order and delivery requirements.

The separate freight invoice must be paid before the order is dispatched unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Freight estimates provided before an order are approximate only. The final shipping cost may change if the actual dimensions, weight, packaging, delivery address or delivery requirements differ from those originally provided.

Additional freight surcharges may apply, including but not limited to:

  • Residential delivery

  • Tail-lift delivery

  • Remote or regional delivery

  • Over-length freight

  • Oversized freight

  • Additional pallets or packages

  • Restricted or difficult access

  • Redelivery

  • Storage

  • Waiting time

  • Special handling

  • Depot or agent collection

For custom-built or made-to-order equipment, freight may not be able to be finalised until the product design, dimensions and packaging requirements have been confirmed.

Order Processing & Dispatch

Most in-stock orders are dispatched within 48–72 business hours (Monday–Friday) from receipt of your order, once any applicable freight charges have been paid.

Some products are made to order, subject to production schedules or temporarily out of stock. These products may take up to 30 days or longer to dispatch depending on production and stock availability. Where a longer lead time applies, we will advise you where possible.

Once your order has been collected by the freight carrier, delivery times are determined by the carrier's network and destination. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

You will receive tracking and delivery information from the relevant carrier once your order has been dispatched.

Heavy, Oversized & Custom Equipment

Many Metal Muscle products are designed for serious training environments and may be significantly heavier, larger or more difficult to transport than standard consumer products.

Heavy, oversized, long or irregularly shaped products may require:

  • Palletised freight

  • Tail-lift delivery

  • Multiple pallets or packages

  • Specialised freight vehicles

  • Manual unloading

  • Commercial delivery arrangements

  • Additional handling or delivery charges

Some products may require custom packaging or separate freight arrangements due to their size or shape.

For custom-built equipment, obstacle rigs, frames and other large installations, freight may be quoted separately based on the final design, packaging, delivery location and site requirements.

Delivery Requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the nominated delivery address is suitable for the size and type of freight being delivered.

Depending on the product and carrier, you may be required to:

  • Be available to receive and sign for your delivery

  • Provide suitable access for the delivery vehicle

  • Ensure the delivery address is accessible for the type and size of vehicle being used

  • Provide suitable unloading space

  • Arrange a forklift, pallet jack or other equipment

  • Arrange additional assistance to safely unload or move heavy items

For particularly heavy or oversized equipment, the customer may need to arrange suitable unloading equipment or labour.

Please tell us before ordering if there are any access restrictions, including narrow driveways, steep access, low-clearance areas, underground car parks, gates, stairs or other conditions that may affect delivery.

Failure to disclose significant access restrictions may result in additional freight, waiting, redelivery or other charges.

Large & Heavy Orders

For standard palletised freight and larger deliveries, Metal Muscle may use Mainfreight or another suitable freight carrier depending on the destination and requirements of the order.

Orders exceeding certain weight or cubic-volume limits will generally be secured to wrapped pallets for safe transportation and tailgate unloading.

Items exceeding approximately 2.5 metres in length may require separate palletisation and may need to be unloaded manually, as they may not be suitable for standard tailgate delivery.

Pallet Deliveries

For palletised deliveries, the carrier will generally contact you to arrange a suitable delivery time.

You must ensure that someone is available to receive the delivery at the agreed time.

The carrier will unload the pallet or pallets at the safest accessible location available, which may include:

  • Roadside

  • Driveway

  • Loading area

  • Loading dock

Standard pallet delivery does not generally include moving pallets inside a building, unpacking the order, assembly or rubbish removal.

For large or heavy orders, we recommend arranging suitable equipment such as a forklift, pallet jack or additional assistance where required to safely move the goods after delivery.

Pallets, packaging and other freight materials are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed.

Residential & Commercial Delivery

Freight costs can vary significantly depending on whether an order is being delivered to a residential or commercial address.

Residential delivery surcharges may apply, particularly where tail-lift delivery or additional handling is required.

Commercial locations with suitable truck access, loading docks or forklifts may be more economical to service than residential addresses requiring additional handling.

Please provide the correct delivery address and delivery type when requesting a freight quote.

If an order is booked as commercial delivery but the actual destination is residential, or the site does not have the required access or unloading facilities, additional charges may apply.

Delivery Access & Serviceability

Metal Muscle uses third-party freight carriers and delivery is subject to the carrier's network and serviceability requirements.

While many deliveries are made directly to the nominated address, door-to-door delivery cannot be guaranteed for every location or type of freight.

Regional, rural and remote locations may be subject to different delivery arrangements. In some circumstances, freight may need to be delivered to a nearby depot or freight agent for customer collection.

Shipping charges quoted or shown at checkout do not necessarily guarantee delivery directly to the final address where the location or freight type is outside the carrier's standard serviceability.

Where possible, Metal Muscle will advise customers of known delivery limitations and assist in finding an appropriate delivery or collection solution.

Custom & Made-to-Order Equipment

Custom and made-to-order equipment may require additional time for design, production, packaging and freight preparation.

Because the final dimensions and packaging requirements may not be known until production is complete, freight quoted at the time of enquiry may be an estimate only.

For larger custom equipment, freight, unloading, installation and site access requirements will be discussed separately before dispatch.

PO Boxes & Special Delivery Locations

Due to the size and weight of many Metal Muscle products, bulky or palletised products cannot be delivered to PO Boxes.

If you require delivery to an apartment, school, sporting club, warehouse, office, commercial facility or another unusual location, please contact us before placing your order.

We will do our best to determine the most suitable delivery option.

Local Pickup

Local pickup may be available from selected Metal Muscle warehouse locations.

Please wait until Metal Muscle confirms that your order is ready for collection before attending the warehouse.

You must provide suitable transport and, where required, assistance to safely collect and load your order.

Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Deliveries

Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete or incorrect, please contact Metal Muscle promptly and provide:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photographs of the product and packaging where applicable

Where possible, please photograph any visible damage to the packaging before or during unloading.

Do not dispose of damaged packaging until we have advised you that it is no longer required, as it may be needed when assessing a freight damage claim.

We will assess the issue and work with you to determine the appropriate solution.

Undeliverable Orders

If an order cannot be delivered because the customer is unavailable, the delivery address is incorrect or inaccessible, the required unloading arrangements are not available, or the carrier is otherwise unable to complete delivery for reasons attributable to the customer, additional freight, storage or redelivery charges may apply.

If an order is returned to a Metal Muscle warehouse because it cannot be delivered, the customer may be responsible for the applicable return freight and other reasonable costs incurred.

Any applicable restocking or cancellation charges will be dealt with in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Delivery Timeframes

Delivery timeframes provided by Metal Muscle or our freight carriers are estimates only.

Delays may occur due to freight network congestion, weather, public holidays, regional service limitations, carrier capacity or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Once an order has been collected by the carrier, Metal Muscle cannot control the carrier's delivery schedule, although we will assist with freight enquiries where required.

Tracking information will be provided where available.

Important Freight Information

By placing an order with Metal Muscle, the customer acknowledges that:

  • Shipping for many products must be calculated manually due to the size, weight and unusual dimensions of our equipment.

  • Customers should contact Metal Muscle before ordering to obtain an approximate freight cost where shipping is not specifically included or quoted.

  • The product order may be placed before the final freight cost is determined, with applicable freight invoiced separately.

  • The customer will be informed of the applicable freight charge before the separate freight invoice is issued.

  • Additional carrier surcharges may apply, including residential delivery, tail-lift, remote-area, over-length, oversized freight and special handling charges.

  • Freight estimates are based on the information available at the time and may change if actual product, packaging or delivery requirements differ.

  • Large, heavy, oversized or custom equipment may require specialised freight arrangements.

  • The customer is responsible for providing accurate delivery information and ensuring suitable access and unloading arrangements.

  • Delivery timeframes are estimates and are subject to the freight carrier's network and serviceability.

Metal Muscle will make reasonable efforts to provide accurate freight estimates and assist customers with suitable delivery arrangements.
